A DIFFERENT VIEW ON SERBS by T. Leardi
I am not a Serb or American, but I lived in Serbia for a few years
and I live now in US for 13 years, so I know the subject. I also
visited and lived in other countries. It all of course, depends on
a personal cultural level (I am strictly against generalizations),
and I've seen all kinds of people in Serbia, but the main thing is-
Serbs made me simply fall in love with them and their country
forever! There are a lot of absolutely amazing things about them
and their culture. More often then not, women are highly
respected there, family values are very high, and men know how
to be a Man ( and I do not mean here being shovinistic, not at
all), it is something that majority of men in US , simply have no
idea about. I was treated by men in Serbia simply like a princess.
I thank God for having that wonderful experience of knowing
that country and it's people. By the way, in US I never felt like a
women even, not mentioning princess. Women seem to be more
like simply partners here (there is too much equality between
sexes, and not enough polarity, it makes sexual as well as any
other form of relationship with men simply dull). US man ether
brain-washed by sexual harassment polices or they just do not
know how to show admiration to a women, or both. And I am
not generalizing now, I have seen something what would be an
exception from that statement in US only from immigrants who
lives here.
And by the way, there is no account for the taste of course, but I
have not seen such handsome men anywhere in the world
(except Sweden perhaps) like in former Yugoslavian republics.
Pozdravi to all the Serbs and their friends!
